About the Bebop Major scale
The notes are the major scale plus a flat 6th. With eight notes, a run of eighth notes from a chord tone keeps the chord tones on the beat.
Played down from the root, the root, 6th, 5th, 3rd and so on fall on the beats. That is the sound of bebop.
Use it over major 6th and major 7th chords.
