About the Bebop Dominant scale
The notes are Mixolydian plus a major 7th: root, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, flat 7th and 7th.
Played down from the root in eighth notes, the chord tones of the dominant 7th chord land on the beats.
Use it over the V7 chord in a ii to V to I, such as G7 in the key of C.
