About the Locrian with a Natural Fifth scale
The scale is Locrian with one more note: the perfect 5th. It has eight notes, with both the flat 5th and the perfect 5th.
With the perfect 5th in place, the root works as a minor chord. The flat 2nd and the flat 5th then act as dark passing notes.
Use the flat 5th as a chromatic step between the 4th and the 5th, the same way blues players use the blue note.
