About the Blues Scale

The notes are root, flat 3rd, 4th, flat 5th, 5th and flat 7th. The flat 5th is the blue note.

Play the flat 5th as a passing note between the 4th and the 5th, or bend the 4th up to it.

It fits over all three chords of a 12 bar blues. In A that is A7, D7 and E7.
