About the Blues Scale with a Major Seventh
The notes are root, flat 3rd, 4th, flat 5th, 5th, flat 7th and 7th.
The major 7th gives a half step lead into the root. Jazz blues players use it in runs that end on the root.
Use the major 7th only as a passing note. On a held note it clashes with the chord's flat 7th.
